Welcome to Created to Learn!
We were created to learn through circumstances, through the Word of God, through books, through marriage and children. The love of learning is a God-given desire I hope to teach my two young girls along with a love of books. Travel along with us, a new-to-homeschooling family, as we explore the world around us through books. If you have suggestions on books or tools that would benefit my family, please contact me. I would be glad to review them.
You don't see too many smokin' trees around!! This was last summer, out in the field next to my sister's house. Lightening has struck this tree over and over again, and yet it still continues to stand!
And they say that lightening doesn't strike twice? Statistically it is strange that that tree continues to get hit. I don't know much about the science of it attracking the strikes. It isn't taller. The whole thing is fascinating.

Wow, that is rare! Amazing that it has been struck many times and still stands! Great photo. :)
That is rare and it's rare that it's still standing. I'd stay away from that tree in a storm :)
Oh, how scary! It could have gotten all the others on fire too! I am an outdoorsy person, so I love this kind of photo.
I hope that tree makes it! Poor thing!
THat's really rare! Thanks for sharing a cool picture like that.

So goes the saying that lightning doesn't strike twice in one place. Fascinating how it has survived numerous lightning strikes.
Thanks for sharing. Happy weekend!
Well, I can say that I've never seen a smokin' tree before! Pretty cool! Glad you were able to capture it!
Wow! Great shot.
Still loving your no makeup pic. :-)
Doesn't the tree know that smoking is bad for the health ? But getting struck several times by lightening is indeed very rare !
OMG, looks scary too. Happy weekend :)
That's kinda cool!
Is the smoke from the tree being hit with lightning again? I wonder what made it so susceptible or so strong!
What a crazy funky picture! That's one tough tree, LOL!!
Wow! That is rare, and it is a cool picture!
Wow, that is rare indeed! I often saw trees when they're charcoal already...lightning you think?
Yup, that's rare alright. I've never seen anything like it. Great choice for The Hunt. Thanks for stopping by.
Wow! That's a great picture for the theme!

Great take on "rare". Amazing that this tree is still sanding after so many lightening strikes.
Thanks for visiting my Photo Hunters. I'm rather behind on my visiting, but am really enjoying "catching up". Have a great day.
