Weekend Reflection

I missed last weeks's reflection. I even had a rough draft saved but never got around to finishing it!

Beef and I were able to have a babysitter come stay with Scamp while we had a much needed date night last Saturday. We tried a new Chinese place for dinner, Pei Wei. It was alright because the meal I chose wasn't what I really wanted. We'll have to try it again soon though. We also watched Spider Man 3, which I liked. Beef said it was a chic flick with too much romance! He also felt it had too many villians, which I tend to agree. They didn't have a lot of time to develop all the characters equally.

I was able to plant my flower garden. My goal for this year was "minimal." Last year, I let half the flowers die before I planted them! Scamp helped out. She loved carrying the little flower pots around!

My grandmother, Scamps' Memaw (that's how she says grandma), took us out to eat and to the pool on Tuesday. The indoor pool wasn't open yet, so we splashed around indoors. It was just as much fun though. I even signed Scamp up for a Mommy and Me swim class along with my cousin Jennifer and her son Brady. The kids are only 2 days apart!

The vehicle I drive, a Buick Rendevous, almost overheated this week. Last year, at this same time, it did overheat and break down on the side of the Interstate when I was alone. Beef had to come rescue me, and we waited 3 hours for a tow truck to show. We are thankful my FIL fixed it, and that's where Beef is today--his dad's house--with our vehicle. Hopefully it will be able to be fixed quickly and easily! Thanks Papa! We appreciate all you do!

My cousin, Rachel, graduated from high school last night! I can't believe there's 10 years between us! She will be going to the college where we live now, the same one Beef and I graduated from. She's going to move into an apartment near campus which is less than 10 minutes from our house. It's so exciting for her, I bet, and I hope we can visit each other some!

Stacy mailed me a couple of books and Davy Jones' key, a piece of Pirates of the Caribbean memoriablia from the last movie I won on her site. You are always so thoughtful, Stacy. Thank you!

God continues to work in my life, and I'm thankful for his patient love and care. I'm one of those people who need extra time! Thank you, Lord, for blessing my like you have.

Congrats to your cousin on her graduation! I've missed a few WR's myself because of being so darn busy! Glad you got a date night and I'm sure you had a good time! I've never had my car break down and if and when it ever does, I'll be the lady who's passed out on the side of the road! That kind of thing makes me STRESS OUT BAD!!!

Sounds like a great week!
A date, how fun!
I can't remember the last date me & Matt had, but maybe on our anniversary coming up (june 17... 18 years!)
Good for you on the swimming lessons! That is so important and so great that you are doing that.

I am really starting to be jealous of all of your "dating". I NEVER get date night. I don't have a sitter and don't know where to find one! Sounds like you had a great week! I hope you have a great one this week too!
