A Heart of Thankfulness

Sometimes, I take for granted the fact the I am a SAHM. Not every mother has that opportunity, but thanks to God and my hubby as our provider, I am able to be at home with Scamp everyday. This also allows me to pursue more in-depth time with God as well as more time with Beef and Scamp and much needed time alone. I just want to say thank you to my hardworking husband, who gets up everyday and goes to work, albeit just to the recliner in our movie room, but still. He works hard, many times overtime to provide for us. Then, he also watches Scamp after work so that I can go to my Girl's Night or workout or just on an errand even though he's mentally exhausted and needs a break himself. Thank you, Baby. I don't say that often enough.

This was very well and humbly said, I couldn't agree with you more!!"

I think it very sad that there are those out there who don't understand how blessed we are and the true meaning of SAHM and what we do. I still at times get criticism and think it is very sad. Some people just have a different view and really it's those who do work, they don't understand.

Like I said, this was very nicely written Shawna, Thank you!!

Love,
Jeannene

Wonderful post! I loved it and agree with much of it in my own little world. I am so very grateful to my husband for how hard he works to provide for us. :)

I hope Beef reads it and tells you just how much I'm sure he appreciates you too, for all you do for him and Scamp :)

I hope your Matt reads it too... I sure do appreciate my Matt giving me the ability to stay home and making me feel like I am doing a good job at it!

Well said, Shawna. I think it is too easy for us to look at what is "wrong" in our lives, so we fail to see how truly blessed we are. I'm glad your eyes are open!

I totally agree with you! Aren't they wonderful for providing for us so we can stay home and raise our children?!!! Jeff does the same thing every day...goes to work downstairs at his desk and I love that we have him here all day! What a blessing!

I loved staying home with my kids and was so grateful I was able to! I'm so glad there are moms that still want to do that!
